Chris joined MJF in September 2014 and has watched the firm grow and grow, witnessing a fantastic team being formed and seeing a huge amount of fantastic businesses becoming clients.
Chris has enjoyed building great relationships with our clients and watching their businesses go from strength to strength.
Describe your role?
I’m the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients. My role is dealing with accounts preparations, VAT returns, management accounts, self-assessments and other day to day duties.
This includes Xero support and training. I help lots of clients get started on Xero by running a training session, either in the office or over the phone.
I also deal with the HMRC regarding taxation issues on our client’s behalf.
I then run meetings with my clients to discuss the accounts and improvements they can make in the business.
How do you help the clients?
I can produce business statutory reports for you and your business. I’m here to help with any financial queries you may have on a day-to-day to basis, and I’m always here on the other end of the phone to provide you with the best business advice possible.
What do you enjoy about working at MJF?
One of the main reasons I love working at MJF is that I share the same work ethic and qualities as the rest of the MJF team. That’s not only expert advice and guidance for our new and current clients, but that friendly, personal, approachable touch we like to pride ourselves on. Our clients know nothing is too much trouble and we are just a phone call away.
I thoroughly enjoy the work environment, culture but, most of all, love the clients. – they make coming into work every day a pleasure.
Tell us something that not a lot of people know about you
I was once a Flight Sergeant in the Air Cadets on the Isle of Man. When I get the chance, I like to spend as much time as possible in the air. One day, I want to become a qualified pilot.
