Every employer in the country must provide a workplace pension by 2018 or face heavy fines. Are you ready?
We don’t want you to miss any deadlines, so we’re holding a free event on 29 April 2015 to tell you all that you need to know. It’s being held from 10am to 12pm at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool.
We’re doing this with our automatic enrolment experts, Workplace Advice Group, and our HR partners, High Performance Consultancy. Between us, we’ll be able to answer all of your queries and make sure you’re ready.
What’s all the fuss?
Auto enrolment started in April 2012, when employers with over 250 staff had to start providing a pension for everyone. In April 2014, the first medium-sized businesses had to comply. And, by 1 August 2017, all current employers must have entered the scheme…..or face heavy fines.
In October 2014, The Pensions Regulator applied the first fines – three firms were each fined £400 for non-compliance by their deadlines of 31 August. These fixed penalty notices are just the first step – daily penalties can then be charged and these can vary from £50 to £10,000 per day!
With 1.25 million employers who need to hit deadlines in the next three years, the fines will start coming thick and fast.
